FEELING BLUE

Siamo nel pieno della primavera, tra profumi, alberi in fiore, piogge primaverili, le prime cene con gli amici all'aperto sotto a cieli stellati.  E il colore che scegliamo per colorare le nostre tavole, i nostri look e le nostre case è il blu! Il colore del mare e del cielo, che con le sue mille sfumature rimane sempre un colore bellissimo. Cercatelo nelle fantasie floreali, nei tessuti rigati, magari accostato a un rosa salmone, o nelle antiche porcellane cinesi.

We are living the spring period in its fullest expression. Here in Italy, we're surrounded by scents, blossoms, spring rains and we're enjoying the first outdoor dinners with our friends. And the colour we chose for our tableware, looks and home is often BLUE; the colour of the sea and the sky that thanks to its many beautiful shades its an excellent choice for both our homes and our fashion looks. Look for this amazing colour in floral prints, stripped fabrics and Chinese porcelains.

Oggi parliamo di sfumature di blu. Il colore del mare e del cielo nelle sue mille sfumature è una tonalità che a noi piace moltissimo sia indossato che all'interno delle nostre case. A secondo della sua intensità questo meraviglioso colore esprime emozioni diverse. L'azzurro francese è molto romantico e riporta subito all'atmosfera di una casa in compagna o al colore delle persiane di una casa sulla spiaggia. Il blu balena invece è un colore intenso e scuro, che ricorda il colore della notte e i muri di ambienti come le camere da letto si prestano benissimo a questo colore. Il verde acqua invece si presta benissimo per una libreria sopratutto se accostata a colori caldi come quello del parquet.

Today we'll talk about shades of blue. The colour of the sea and the sky in its thousand of shades is a tone we love to wear and use in our homes. Depending on its intensity this amazing colour communicates and recreates different atmospheres. The french-blue, is very romantic and makes us think to a house in the middle of nowhere surrounded by beautiful countryside or a house with french-blue shutters on the side of a white beach close to the sea. Whereas a deep blue reminds us of the colour of the sky at night and the walls of rooms such as those of our bedrooms are perfect to carry over this colour. Light sea green, instead, is a beautiful colour you can use to paint a bookcase especially if combined with warm colours such as that of a chic classic parquet flooring.
