UP IN THE MOUNTAINS

Siamo appena tornate da una meravigliosa settimana bianca, all'insegna del relax, durante la quale ci siamo potute godere giornate di sole, romantici paesaggi imbiancati e ottimo cibo in compagnia della nostra famiglia e dei nostri amici. Oggi abbiamo deciso di dedicare il nostro post agli interni della nostra casa di montagna, nella bella Cortina, cuore delle Dolomite e una della località sciistiche più ambite.

Just came back from a lovely ski week, during which we enjoyed sunny days, white snow and lovely food with our friends and family. Today we decided to give you a little sneak peak into one of our mountain retreats located in the beautiful Cortina: the heart of the Dolomiti, one of the most popular winter ski resorts in Italy.

CHIESA IN VALMALENCO

Cari Lettori,

Il post di oggi lo dedichiamo a una meravigliosa località di montagna: Chiesa in Valmalenco. Un piccolo paesino di montagna, lontano dalle località mondane, circondato dalla corona delle alpi, immerso in panorami che tolgono il fiato con oltre quaranta chilometri di piste del comprensori dell’Alpe Palù. Un paesino che per certi aspetti si è fermato agli anni 60; dove si scia bene, si mangia benissimo e soprattutto ci si rilassa, staccando completamente. Nel paesino e nella zona circostante si respirano la calma, la tranquillità e la magia di quegli anni. Vi sono molti alberghi e bed&breakfast, tra i molti l’albergo Tremoggia, semplice/familiare e al contempo lussuoso. Dedichiamo questo post a questa bellissima località.

We dedicate today’s post to a breath taking mountain location: Chiesa in Valmalenco. A small town in the mountains in the heart of the Central Alps, far away from the fashionable destinations, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and with over forty kilometres of slopes in the Alpe Palu’ ski resort. A tiny town where for certain aspects the time seems to have stopped in the 60s, where skiing is beautiful, food and wine are exceptional and where you can relax.  In Chiesa and in the surrounding area you can feel the magic and calm of those years. In the town there are a number of cosy hotels and bed & breakfast, among the many the beautiful hotel Tremoggia simple and luxurious at the same time. We dedicate this post to this amazing ski resort location.
